Our expertly maintained hot tubs undergo rigorous cleaning and testing procedures in pursuit for the highest possible standards. Processes and procedures continuously evolve and unfortunately are incongruent with Indiana Code 675 IAC 20 governing public pools.
There are a couple reasons why compliance is unfortunately out of the question; for starters, Story will not surveil how many guests enjoy the hot tub nor report such surveillance to government authorities each day.
The thousands of dollars of additional administrative costs to lab test water samples for each hot tub every month is unnecessary when the cleaning is done for each stay.
Converting the Story Inn hot tubs to private use seems the more sensible way forward to strive for higher standards than ever.

The final results were tallied for the Brown County Community Foundation fundraising dinner:
$75 was received from 44 dinner guests as a taxable sale equals $3,082. $540 was collected via cash donations; many thanks to Tom and Laura who don't want credit. Both Dr. Book and The Greenwood Public Library's gift certificate purchases contributed another $350 towards the fundraising effort which set the benchmark at $3,972.
"I love it here. And I'd like to replicate this (success)" Rich was overheard saying beneath the fireworks display, following the fundraising effort. Qualifying for the Lilly Foundation double match allowed the size of the metaphorical fundraising 'pie' to reach $11,916. "But I wouldn't want to do that again the same way".
"It doesn't happen very often, to get a bunch of different parties to agree", Rich later stated. WJAA 96.3, Performance Food Group, and Local Gardeners all contributed to make the fundraising event possible.
"It's incredible to watch the evolution of the Independence Day Community Concert and Fireworks Show, grow into a fundraising dinner". The Brown County Community Foundation acts as a tether for hundreds of incredible groups to bind such a supportive community.
Aaron runs the Marketing, Entertainment, and Social Media with Claire at helm on the Events, Sales, and Operational front. "With all the support from sponsors and our purveyors, my total contribution was still less than the cost of my white trash mobile," Rich said after analysis.
The $11,916 fundraising effort came with mixed feelings.
"I'd love to do this fundraising thing again, but don't know how given the current tax climate"
On their recent visit to Story, CVB's marketing acknowledged that 'they could go under', stemming from their years of poor management and decision making.
"They should have all been fired and dissolved the agency back then" Rich said upon reflection. The Brown County Council instead voted to increase the countywide innkeepers tax, from 5% to 8%, reaching the state assembly approved maximum limit.
"I wish they couldn't waste another dime" Rich said, complaining after the increased Innkeepers tax went into affect. "I like the 22 people that are employed without being forced to raise prices". The CVB is funded by the 8% tax to promote tourism.
"I'd like to host another $11k+ fundraising dinner but maybe the Brown County Council who maxed out the innkeepers tax to the state limit know how that's now possible." The tax increase surpasses the amount of the fundraising dinner.
